Georgetown Hospital is a small to medium-sized community hospital located in the Georgetown area of Halton Hills, Ontario. It is part of the Halton Healthcare group of hospitals. Built on 17 acres of land, it opened in 1961 to serve the Halton Region, but today it also serves the communities of Peel Region.
Georgetown Hospital has a very busy surgical department which includes general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, ENT, urology, obstetrics and gynecology. The hospital has two operating rooms and one procedure room equipped with state-of-the-art laparoscopic and endoscopic instruments.
Georgetown Hospital has access to in-house CT, ultrasound, X-ray and mammography. The hospital has a medical and surgical ward with a close observation and critical-care unit and around-the-clock internal medicine coverage. There is also sub-specialty and critical-care coverage, MRI, nuclear medicine and interventional radiology available as needed through Oakville Trafalgar and Milton District Hospitals as part of the Halton Healthcare tri-site organization.
